From Guest List to an Event Platform

In 2016, three founders launched MATE in Berlin. A simple app built to manage guest lists for the city’s nightlife scene. Over the years, that tool evolved into Sweap, an event operations platform that helps companies across Europe plan, run, and measure successful events.

Why the transformation? Because events have become more measurable and accessible than ever before, making them one of the most effective marketing channels available to businesses today. That’s exactly what Sweap has focused on for the past ten years.

Our commitment: at least 3,500 kg of plastic per year. Every registration through a paid Sweap account adds another 5 g—TÜV SÜD-certified and traceable.

CleanHub: Each Registration counts.

Events generate waste: from name badges and lanyards to packaging and single-use tableware. Much of it is plastic that isn’t recycled, but exported and often ends up in our oceans.

That’s why we partner with CleanHub. Collection hubs in India, Indonesia, and Cambodia recover plastic directly from households, rivers, and fishing communities before it can reach the environment.
