With the direct connection via the Sweap Newsletter Connector, you automatically add guests to Inxmail mailing lists at the point of event registration and trigger the double opt-in process immediately – with no manual effort required.

What Does the Inxmail Integration Do?

Traditionally, event attendee data has to be manually exported after an event and imported into the newsletter tool. With Sweap, this step is eliminated entirely: as soon as a guest submits the registration form and activates the desired newsletter checkboxes, the Sweap Newsletter Connector transfers the data to Inxmail in real time. The guest is immediately added to the relevant mailing lists and receives the Inxmail double opt-in email right after registration.

The event registration runs completely independently – ticket and confirmation dispatch are not affected by the newsletter integration.

How the Setup Works

Connecting Inxmail to Sweap is a one-time process handled by Sweap Support. We will guide you through the entire process.

What We Need From You

Client ID and Client Secret of your Inxmail instance
The Inxmail API URL / subdomain
The desired newsletter topics or mailing list keys
The mapping between form fields and mailing lists

What Happens Next

Once the connection has been set up, you will receive your personal newsletter API key. You then add this together with a short JavaScript snippet directly to your Sweap registration pages – and you're done.

Security note: Client ID and Client Secret are sensitive access credentials. Please do not send them via unencrypted email – instead, use our encrypted transfer service at passwords.sweap.io.

Newsletter consent is collected transparently in the registration form. The double opt-in process via Inxmail ensures that you meet the requirements for legally compliant email marketing. We also recommend including a clear notice in the form stating that, when a newsletter field is activated, the data will be forwarded to Inxmail as a third-party provider.
